As of Late...

So it's been awhile, so here's a few highlights of what has been happening as of late with our little family. :) Mostly we just work, but amazingly enough we still find time to play and have fun around the house. We went to Bear Lake with Jon's family and it was, COLD. But we had a lot of fun too. It was an adventure to get there, with a few detours and snow storms but we made it.

Jon graduated from Argosy University with his MBA!! He still has a few things to finish, but he got to walk and it was awesome! I'm so proud of him for working so hard with his job AND school! He's amazing, and I'm so proud that he's my husband!

To get ready for out little bambino we painted his room! It was a nice awkward shade of green that I just couldn't handle anymore, so we painted it this tan and I love it now!! We'll have a white crib in there soon with many cute accessories!! We are finally getting things ready, only took us 6 months of knowing he was coming! Ha ha.

I got this fan for my birthday and Jon and Mark put it up last weekend and I LOVE IT!! They are so good to me! We haven't had to use it much with the recent snow, but I'm sure it'll come in handy in the dead of summer and even more pregnant! Most people probably aren't excited about a ceiling fan, but I love it!!

And yep, here I am, big and pregnant!! This was at like 24 weeks and I'm even bigger now. :) Our little man is quite the mover and I love feeling him almost all day long. He's growing on schedule and all is well. Hopefully he'll stay on schedule now that my little brother is getting married August 20!! Ah! The wedding shouldn't interfere with the babe, but you never know, it could be a very adventurous day.
To add to the craziness I'm helping choreograph for "Annie" in Bluffdale, I'm still in the midst of planning girl's camp, and we teach the Bear Scouts. We're finishing part of our basement, and trying to maintain our yard. We go to soccer games and family events and if we are lucky we have a night at home alone! I guess our craziness now is just getting us ready for the baby craziness in less than 3 months!!!! Life is good! We're happy! And all is well. :)

IT'S A BOY!

We finally found out that we'll be having a baby boy and we are SO excited. Jon and I didn't have a preference between boy or girl, we just wanted a baby, but now that we know that we'll have a little man- we can't wait. He's so cute from what we can tell and wow is he active!!!! He's always moving and I can feel him all day! We don't have a name picked out yet, we're very indecisive people. But we have a few that we like. If you have any suggestions, let us know. :)
I'm half way to the due date, Woot! I really hope the next 20 weeks go as fast as the last 20 have. And I hope that my morning sickness will go away soon! Yep, I'm still sick! It's getting better-ish, but still, I'm done. I do have more energy lately, so that's a good thing. :)
No really weird cravings yet, but this baby sure loves Arby's, Root Beer, and slurpees. I'm getting used to having a belly, it's really weird sometimes. But it's fun most of the time. Shopping for maternity clothes has been an adventure. I feel like the pants are like 80's-rrific genie pants, but once they're on their not as bad, as long as you have a shirt to cover the stretchyness.

Baby Bay on the way!

Well, I guess since people are finding out, and my belly is coming out I can't keep it a secret anymore. We're having a BABY and we are so excited!! Baby Bay is on the way!! We found out the good news on Christmas morning and it was the best present ever! We are so blessed! 2009 turned out to be the most eventful year of our lives! We met on New Year's, got engaged in April, Married in July, bought a house in September, and made a baby in December! Now I know things are going to get more exciting, but I don't know if we'll have a year to top that one, though 2010 is putting up a good fight. We went to Jordan, and we'll have our baby! We'll see.
For those who like to know, I'm due the end of August, the 30th to be exact. I'm 15 weeks along, and we'll find out what color of clothes to by in April. We are excited for either a boy or a girl, we have no preference. I was very sick, hate morning sickness, and am barely starting to get over it. But thanks to Zofran I don't throw up anymore. :) We have not picked names yet, we have some favorites but won't decide til the little tike is born. I think that covers most of the common questions, but feel free to ask if you have any more!

Adventure is out there!!!

We're going on an adventure, the biggest adventure of my life so far! Jon's had a lot of adventures- but I'm going to guess that this is one of the biggest adventures for him as well. We leave tomorrow for JORDAN! Woot Woot! For the next two weeks we will be riding camels, camping with the Bedouins, wading in the Dead Sea, hanging out with amazing Muslim families, doing humanitarian work, seeing the Holy Land, and so much more! Expect a full report when we return.

I've seen some amazing things in my life, people stepping up and helping those in need, but for some reason, making these hats for the babies in Jordan touches my heart more and more everyday. I am shocked at all the people who are willing to take their time and energy to make baby hats for little ones on the other side of the world. Most of these people had never even heard of the country of Jordan before, and are still figuring out where it is! But they heard of a need, so they stepped up to help. I almost cry every time someone brings me more hats!

We are leaving for Jordan in 19 days and we are so excited! We will have at least one full suitcase of baby hats! I promise we will take many pictures and give a full report. So stay tuned!!

Married Christmas!

We survived our first married Christmas and loved it! I think we were able to spend the same amount of time with both families, which can be hard, but I think we were successful this year. We got practical married type gifts and shared gifts and I was so excited! It was perfect! We shared traditions and made some of our own. :) Santa even found us and our stockings which we opened sitting in camp chairs in front of our unfinished fireplace! It was perfect! Yay for Christmas!

Girl's Camp? Really?!?

We love our calling as Sunbeam teachers! We have the cutest little beamers! They are so loving and cute! Jon especially loves this calling, it's perfect for him. He's so cute with the kiddos. And I love that we get to do it together! So, we had our couple calling and I thought we were good... I shouldn't have thought that.... A few weeks ago the Relief Society Pres. called and asked me to help with the stake women's conference which will be fun! I just get to help invite and get our ward there. I was excited about it because I would meet more people in the ward! Well, I guess I wasn't doing enough because I got another call to meet with the bishopbric... at this point I just thought I was in trouble, and I guess in a sense I sure am!! They asked me to be the YM CAMP DIRECTOR!!!!!!!!!!!! I said yes, but almost cried. And Jon was there with me and almost laughed right out loud.
Ok, for those of you who don't know me very well, let me tell you about my camping experience. My first camp out was with my family when I was 2. It was less than ideal, and was starting to rain, so my Dad said if we could go home, he would buy us a dog. We had Buffy, our cute cocker spaniel for 20 years and never camped again.
From then growing up, our camping was done in condos. I like this kind of camping.
But then I was 12, and I had to go to girl's camp. Sounded like fun and all... ish.
Here's how girl's camp went for me:
One year I was sick. And no offense to the girls I grew up with, but we didn't always get along, especially at camp so it wasn't as enjoyable as it was supposed to be.
One year I had to bring my friend from another ward for reinforcements or I wouldn't go.
One year there were 4 of us that were abandonded and forgotten as we were in a paddle boat on the river, they just forgot about us and left to go to dinner. We didn't get dinner that night.
One year I was almost sent home because I was blamed wrongfully for a snipe hunt gone bad.
I decided not to go anymore so the bishop and the stake YW presidency came to my house to convince it would be "fun"... I didn't go.
The more I think about it, the more unpleasant memories come to mind about girl's camp.
Now why... why me... why now. That's what I'm asking. I know God does things for a reason for sure, but I don't know about this one yet. So please pray for me as I try to figure this out!!! And feel free to laugh at me and with me and hope I make it through July!!!!!
